Mortgage rates in the US have been nosediving as of late! According to the Mortgage News Daily, average 30 year fixed rates decreased nearly 40 basis points (0.40 percentage points) over the past two days as of November 2, 2023. Mortgage interest rates are at a one month low after being at a 23 year high two weeks ago!
In today’s video, I’m joined by @TheRateUpdatewithDanFrio to discuss why rates have fallen so much over the past couple of days. He also provides his housing market forecast for mortgage rates.

To give you a quick mortgage interest rates update, according to the Mortgage News Daily the average 30yr fixed rate mortgage is around 7.5% for the current mortgage rates (at the time of filming this video for borrowers with exceptional credit).
