At its December 2022 meeting, the Federal Reserve raised the Fed Funds Rate 0.50 percentage points to 4.25 percent. It's the seventh straight rate hike but smaller than previous ones. The Fed is getting inflation under control. Mortgage rates are responding accordingly.

This video reviews the Federal Reserve and its December meeting, the Fed Funds Rate, mortgage rates, and the relationship between inflation and home affordability.

Reminder: The Fed doesn't set mortgage rates.
