Beware of the Zillow Rental Scam

🚨Beware of the Zillow Rental Scam‼️😳

Here’s the scam:

♦️They post a picture of a property for rent

♦️They ask for the deposit and usually it’s reasonable and to market standards

♦️Then you show up to the home and realize someone has been living in it for years.

🚨How to protect yourself:

✅ Putting deposits on rentals is normal, just ensure you use a credit card so you can have them fight the fraud.

✅If they number or contact information doesn’t go through and they won’t meet you to do an initial walk-through, that’s a bad sign.

✅Make sure you report it to Zillow. In their defense they’re good about going after these people.
