We moved to a brand new piece of land and started building our wooden house from the ground up — and today, we had our first meal sitting right on the construction site.
The frame is up. The roof skeleton is taking shape. And while the walls aren't finished yet, the most important thing was already there — the two of us, sitting together on the dirt floor, eating a simple home-cooked meal with the forest and mountains all around us.
This is what building a new life looks like. Not finished. Not perfect. But real, and ours. 🪵🏡
